Community & access groups

Groups, tours and workshops

We are now welcoming a limited number of self-led and guided groups groups back to the Galleries. Please contact us for more information.

Groups of 10 or more can book self-led and guided visits to view the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.

We invite community and access groups to explore Scotland’s national collection for free through guided or self-led visits and free entry to all ticketed exhibitions. We also offer a free programme of dementia-friendly workshops, aiming to create a relaxed, welcoming and sociable environment where all contributions are welcomed and valued.

Community and access groups consist of, or work with, people who require additional support in order to visit and access the National Galleries of Scotland. These groups might visit for learning, therapeutic or social reasons. They include disabled people, people who may experience isolation or exclusion and people who may not be able to visit on their own for a variety of reasons.

We also offer a range of regularly scheduled events for visitors with specific access needs.
